As a result of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) public health emergency, WasteExpo has been rescheduled to August 10-13, 2020.

The health and safety of our WasteExpo community is our top priority. The WasteExpo team is working through a comprehensive effort focusing on a managed postponement program to respond to the needs of the industry, the exhibitors, the attendees and all the other staff that work the shows during this challenging time.

We have made the decision to reschedule WasteExpo to August 10-13, 2020 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.

This is not a decision we made lightly. We spoke to many of our partners, exhibitors, speakers and attendees, and the overwhelming consensus was that moving the show was most prudent.

We hope that this proactive and transparent move allows us all to conduct business in the less uncertain August timeframe.

We understand there will be questions and concerns following this announcement. For attendees, we will automatically transfer your registration to the rescheduled event. Yes, all attendee and exhibitor registrations will be transferred to the new dates. You do not have to do anything at this time.

If you registered as an attendee (not an exhibitor) and you cannot attend in August, you can either get a credit toward the 2021 event, which will be in Las Vegas, April 27–29, 2021. Or, please email [email protected] for a refund.

While we were able to secure new dates in New Orleans, we will be in a different hall within the building. We’ll need to create a new floorplan for these halls. This process will take some time, but Marc and Deb will out reach out to you as the floorplan becomes available. If you have any questions, please email Marc or Deb.

If you registered as an attendee, please let us know if you can no longer attend WasteExpo. You can either get a credit toward the 2021 event, which will be in Las Vegas, April 27–29, 2021. Or, please email [email protected]  

If you used our official hotel provider, OnPeak, they will be sending you an email very soon if they haven’t already. They will be canceling the current registration and then they will send you a NEW link once the new hotel block is set up.

 If you reserved the room on your own, please contact the hotel directly to cancel or move your dates.

Please contact the airlines directly to make any changes to your plans.

 

Our goal is to move the majority of our sessions and speakers to the new dates of WasteExpo. We will update the agenda as soon as we can. You can be rest assured that you will get the same top-notch education you’ve come to expect with WasteExpo.

Yes, the Healthcare Waste Conference, the Waste360 Business Leadership Forum and the Waste360/Stifel Investor Summit will follow the same day/cadence.

If you have already placed orders with GES, or other vendors like the convention center, all of those orders will carry over to the August event. If you need to update or need assistance from GES, you can contact GES National Servicenter Monday–Friday 6:00 am-5:00 pm at 800.475.2098 or by chat at www.ges.com/chat. If you need to revise your electrical, plumbing and/or internet orders or have questions regarding these services from the ENMCC, please contact them at [email protected] or call 504.582.3036. Their office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST.

WasteExpo recognizes that both professional and personal situations can result in needing to make a change to business travel. Therefore, if your plans change, substitutions are always welcome in lieu of cancellations.

If you registered before March 16, 2020 and need to cancel due to the show date change, please email [email protected]. We are offering a letter of credit toward the 2021 show or a refund.

If you registered after March 16, 2020 and written notice is received by May 20, 2020 the registration fee will be refunded less a $75 processing fee. After May 20 cancellations are non-refundable. Approved refunds will be processed within 2 weeks. Refunds will not be issued for no-show registrants. Please note the program is subject to change at any time. In the event a session that you have registered for is no longer offered, your registration will be transferred to another class of your choosing provided space is available. If a suitable class is not available, your registration fees may be refunded, however Informa will not be liable for any ancillary or related costs, including, but not limited to hotel and airline charges or cancellation fees due to weather or other conditions or circumstances beyond our control.
