Option 1: C&D and COVID-19: Where Do We Go from Here?
Construction & Demolition (C&D) represents a huge amount of material - more than MSW! But when COVID-19 hit, construction activity dropped in many states across the country, as concern for safety and social distancing increased. With continued uncertainty surrounding the virus, many construction projects are being cancelled or delayed, permitting has become a challenge with government inspectors on lockdown or hesitant to return to the field, and complying with social distancing guidelines remains a challenge. So, what do we expect to see in the coming months? What can be done to mitigate some of these issues facing recyclers, and what tools are available to help facilities function in this “new normal”?
